WE WILL NOT SHIP TO ANY AREA WHEN TEMPERATURES ARE FREEZING OR BELOW EITHER IN YOUR AREA OR IN TRANSIT. WHEN WE GET YOUR ORDER IF WE CAN NOT SAFELY SHIP, WE WILL POSTPONE SHIPPING UNTIL WE CAN GET YOUR PLANTS TO YOU SAFELY.
Zone 1 - GREEN Zone
We ship UPS or USPS whichever can get your packages to you in the least amount of time. If you have a preference, please indicate it on your order form.
Zone 2 - YELLOW Zone
We ship by USPS Priority Mail which is a 2-3 day shipment.
Zone 3 - RED
We ship by USPS Priority Mail which is a 2-3 day shipmen
We package and ship orders within 7-14 days of the order date. Once we receive and and review your order, we will schedule a ship date. If we feel that we can not safely ship your plants to you within 7-14 days due to unfavorable weather conditions that can cause damage to plants, we will let you know and we'll work out a shipping date with you. When we prepare packages and shipping labels, the carrier may not pick them up until the next business day. When you get your package tracking number and it doesn't show up the same day this is the reason.
How We Ship
We will ship USPS Priority Mail or UPS depending on your location. We do not ship same day or in the same week in most instances.
All plants are shipped in the pot with soil. We currently have certification to ship in the soil to all continental United States.
Each plant is packed with paper, sealed in a plastic bag and placed in a box with cardboard packing to prevent movement and damage to your plants. We try to pack as many plants in a box as we can while maintaining the quality of the plants.
Buds & Blooms
We sell Camellias that are one to two years old. While some plants may have blooms on young plants, many do not start to put on significant buds until they are year 3. There are exceptions with some plants, but this is the normal expectations when growing Camellias.
Some varieties like Camellia sasanqua will produce flowers on younger plants, but they are finished blooming by December for the most part.
If we do have plants that have buds or blooms, they are easily knocked off during the shipping process. They are very fragile and even the slightest shake or rattle and buds can be knocked off.
For these reasons, we tell our customers to expect beautiful plants and buds should follow in the next two seasons.
We guarantee that you will receive healthy plants in good condition and that they have passed all state health inspections.
We guarantee extreme damage or loss from packages not delivered on time by the carrier ONLY if we are notified of the package delay within 1 business day of non-delivery and if you have contacted the carrier to try to locate the package.
We guarantee that they are the products you ordered and that they are true to name.
We guarantee that if you have a problem with your plant(s) that we will try our best to help you solve the problems before you have dead plants. You have invested money and time into your Camellias and we ask that you contact us if you see anything wrong with your plants so we can help you.
What's Not Covered
We DO NOT guarantee that they will live and grow because we are not in charge of their care. Once they get to you, then it’s up to you to take them the rest of the way!
We DO NOT Damage or Loss from packages that are delayed or lost that were not reported to us within one business day of anticipated delivery or not reported to the carrier.
We DO NOT cover damage or loss caused by neglect or improper care. This means watering and planting issues, insects and diseases, mis-use of fertilizers or chemicals, or damage from weather conditions.
What You Can Do
1. Track your package. Know when it's coming and if it's not there on time, contact the carrier first to locate the package and then report the delay to us.
2. Open your package, inspect it for damage.
3. Report Damage: You must report damage or unhealthy plants that you receive to us within 3 days of receipt so that we may take the necessary steps to correct the issue, issue a replacement or refund, and to file a claim with the shipping carrier for damage.
4. Report Loss or Delay: You must report lost or non-delivery within 1 day of the expected delivery date
