Shipping Zones

Zone 1 - GREEN

We ship UPS or USPS whichever can get your packages to you in the least amount of time.  If you have a preference, please indicate it on your order form.

Zone 2 - YELLOW

We ship USPS Priority Mail.  This is usually a 2-3 day shipment (from the shipping day as we do not ship same day).  We can get packages to you with less damage than the longer shipping times with UPS and the pricing is about the same.

Zone 3 - RED

We only ship USPS Priority Mail.  This is usually a 2-3 day shipment (from the day we ship as we do not ship same day)  Note: USPS Priority Mail is more expensive than UPS but UPS traditionally takes 7-8 days to get to most of the states in this zone and we feel this is too long in the box for plants to arrive safely.  Therefore, we will only ship USPS Priority mail to these states.

Shipping Methods

We package and ship orders within 7-14 days of the order date. Once we receive and and review your order, we will schedule a ship date.  If we feel that we can not safely ship your plants to you within 7-14 days due to unfavorable weather conditions that can cause damage to plants, we will let you know and we'll work out a shipping date with you.  When we prepare packages and shipping labels, the carrier may not pick them up until the next business day.  When you get your package tracking number and it doesn't show up the same day this is the reason.

How We Ship

We will ship USPS Priority Mail or UPS depending on your location.  We do not ship same day or in the same week in most instances.

All plants are shipped in the pot with soil. We currently have certification to ship in the soil to all continental United States.

Each plant is packed with paper, sealed in a plastic bag and placed in a box with cardboard packing to prevent movement and damage to your plants. We try to pack as many plants in a box as we can while maintaining the quality of the plants.

Buds & Blooms

We sell Camellias that are one to two years old.  While some plants may have blooms on young plants, many do not start to put on significant buds until they are year 3.  There are exceptions with some plants, but this is the normal expectations when growing Camellias.

Some varieties like Camellia sasanqua will produce flowers on younger plants, but they are finished blooming by December for the most part.

If we do have plants that have buds or blooms, they are easily knocked off during the shipping process.  They are very fragile and even the slightest shake or rattle and buds can be knocked off.

For these reasons, we tell our customers to expect beautiful plants and buds should follow in the next two seasons.
