Camellia Sinensis Tea Plants

NOTE: We spring prune our tea plants in February-March and most of our tea plants have been cut way back.  We are waiting for them to flush with new growth and as soon as they do we will add them back to inventory.

Did you know you can Grow Your Own Tea? It's true! Camellia Sinensis, also known as the Tea Plant, is the plant that is responsible for the beverage we all know as Tea.

All tea, whether it is Green, Black, Oolong, Silver, White, Matcha, etc are all from one plant species, Camellia Sinensis. It's the way it's grown and processed that determines the type of tea you end up with. For example, consider Potatoes.....French Fries, Potato Chips, Mashed Potatoes, or Potato Soup is all made from one common potato, but the way you process it gives you your end result.
